Sheriff's Office SROs Return to Schools for New Academic Year

School Resource Officers with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office are stationed in schools as students in Wilmington, NC, return for the new academic year.

The Sheriff's Office said its SROs are prepared for the school year and emphasized their role in maintaining safety on school campuses, both inside and outside the classroom.

The officers are encouraging students to approach them and introduce themselves as the year gets underway.
