Detached Boat Trailer Briefly Blocked Wrightsville Beach Westbound Lane

A boat and trailer that detached from a truck blocked the left westbound lane leaving Wrightsville Beach on the road just off the drawbridge, causing slow traffic as vehicles were diverted into the right lane, according to the Town of Wrightsville Beach.

Authorities advised travelers to use caution and expect additional travel time while the obstruction was in place.

The road was fully cleared by 5:00 p.m.
