Wrightsville Beach Offers Year-Round Recycling Options for Residents

The Town of Wrightsville Beach operates a 24-hour recycling center at the Municipal Complex, located at 321 Causeway Dr. The facility accepts cans, cardboard, paper, glass, and plastic containers. A designated yellow collection container on site is also available for battery recycling.

Each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the HazWagon visits the location to collect electronics and other household hazardous waste from residents.

The town also maintains an oyster shell recycling bin on Seawater Lane. Collected shells are used to support local oyster reef restoration efforts. Town officials note that oyster shells should not be disposed of in regular trash.
